I was born 24 years ago in California. I lived in the Golden State with my very conservative Republican parents until I was in 16. At the age of 16 I moved to Dahlonega, Georgia, site of the first American Gold Rush in 1828. Gold mined from the hills surrounding Dahlonega went to fund the Confederate war effort after Southern states broken away from the Union. In Georgia at the age of 17, in the autumn of 1999, I renounced by Republican ways, my Episcopalianism, and my heterosexuality.
I came out to Washington for school and I feel in love with it all. In college I hosted the “My Blaire Lady Radio Programme” I show about musicals that was feature on National Public Radio. I have my bachelor’s degrees in Religion and Social Ethics, with minors in Women’s/Gender Studies and English. My thesis was called Something’s Queer Here: the Advocate and the Ethics of Outing. It was on the history of outing in gay media and the cooptation of outing against heterosexual people.
Which brings us to the present. I live in Seattle on First Hill, in an old hotel hotel that has been converted into an apartment building. I live with all my books, and my alcohol and my cat, Hillary Clinton. I am 25% Turkish. Some people have said I look like Johnny Depp, a young Al Pacino (circa Godfather I), and Harry Potter, I deny any resemblance to any of them. I personally identify with Eva Peron. I also like photography and I love travel. Ive been to Paris, Dublin, London, Warsaw, Krakow, Salzburg, Prague and through all of Italy.
I love to cook for myself and for friends, because cooking for one sucks. If we become friends Ill cook for you and if we date Ill make you something special. I also like wine, for collecting and drinking.
Im a Gemini, born on 5 June 1982. One year to the day before my birth scientist announced the discovery of AIDS. Fourteen years to the day before my birth Robert F. Kennedy was shot and killed by Sirhan Sirhan in the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles.
